Decentralized Evaluation of School Feeding Modalities
Decentralized Evaluation of School Feeding Modalities applied in Armenia from 2018-2023
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The evaluation focuses on the activities implemented by WFP and its partners in the six provinces of Armenia in support to have access of vulnerable populations in Armenia, including schoolchildren, to adequate and nutritious food year-round and strengthening of national policies, programmes and systems to improve food security and nutrition.
The evaluation also analyzes how gender, equity and wider inclusion objectives and GEWE mainstreaming principles were included in the intervention design, and whether the evaluation subject has been guided by WFP and system-wide objectives on GEWE. This evaluation covers activities in Armenia in the period from 2018 to mid-2023. The evaluation has the dual objective of assessing the performance of the project (accountability) and learning valuable lessons for its future (learning). Evaluation is based on Evaluation Questions built around six main Evaluation Criteria: Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Coherence, Impact and Sustainability. The tasks of the evaluation consist of desk review, key informant interviews, participative observations, the schoolchildren survey, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, drafting of reports and facilitation of the validation workshop.
