Enhancing the adaptive capacity of Farming Communities in North Tamil Nadu

Enhancing the adaptive capacity of Farming Communities in North Tamil Nadu by promoting and transferring Climate Smart Agriculture Practices in India

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

ICON-INSTITUT was contracted by the Don Bosco Mondo’s Foundation to conduct and evaluation of the intervention “Enhancing the adaptive capacity of Farming Communities in North Tamil Nadu by promoting and transferring Climate Smart Agriculture Practices in India”, financed by the BMZ. The main goal of the evaluation was to provide evidence-based insights and a critical overview of the interventions carried out in the project.

The study aimed to enhance decision-making processes and offered valuable insights for future development initiatives by project partners and the donor organization.

Additionally, ICON-INSTITUT helped the project team assessing both intended and unintended outcomes, facilitating the integration of these insights into the planning of future climate-smart agricultural projects in the region. The evaluation’s outcomes followed the SMART approach (specific, measurable, achievable, results-oriented, time-bound).
