Inclusive Education for Children

Evaluation of the Multi-Year Resilience Programme MYRP – Inclusive Education for Children on the Move in Emergency Situations

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Strengthening Programme in Mozambique, a collaborative effort by UNICEF and WHO from March 2016 to December 2023, aimed to enhance the civil registration system in the country. Funded by Global Affairs Canada with CAD 26 million, the program focused on gender-responsive measures and the nationwide implementation of an electronic civil registration system, aligning with national priorities and supporting initiatives like the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2024, ICON conducted a comprehensive final evaluation to assess the program's impact, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, and sustainability, while documenting lessons learned and providing recommendations for future strategies. The evaluation covered the entire program period and employed a mixed-methods approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative data collection.

Despite challenges in obtaining disaggregated data, the evaluation aimed to incorporate a gender perspective throughout its analysis.
