The project’s aim was to contribute to the advancement of understanding of the situation of children with disabilities in Burundi and to better understand their barriers to school access.
The objectives were:
1. to map children with disabilities and children with disabilities out of school and disaggregate the data by disability status and gender;
2. to map the institutions, services, organizations, and centres that work with children with disabilities;
3. to Develop and to elaborate proposals to resolve gaps, obstacles and barriers identified in the situational analysis, and improve data quality.
