The project focused on enhancing the effectiveness of the European Training Foundation's (ETF) activities in the education and training sectors by providing expert support through ICON-INSTITUT in quality assurance, planning, monitoring, and evaluation. With a strong emphasis on improving the design and implementation of ETF projects, the aim was to ensure that lessons learned from past and ongoing initiatives could inform future planning and programming.
Through a detailed analysis of the impact of ETF projects, the team helped identify the added value of various interventions, allowing for more strategic and efficient project design. Improved quality assurance methods and planning systems were introduced, ensuring that ETF’s activities were more effectively aligned with its goals. The expertise in monitoring and evaluation within the ETF was significantly strengthened, enabling more accurate assessments of project outcomes. These efforts were focused on key thematic areas, including the development of vocational education and training systems within a lifelong learning framework, addressing labour market needs to boost employability, and fostering partnerships between education and businesses to drive human capital development. Through these initiatives, the project played a pivotal role in advancing ETF’s ability to positively impact education and training across its partner countries.
