PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project aimed to assess and improve budget management and performance indicators in the health and housing sectors under the EC General Budget Support Programme (9th EDF), crucial for determining EC funding.

ICON-INSTITUT was involved to analyse existing indicators, evaluating whether targets were met, and adjusting their weighting as per the Financing Agreement. New indicators were developed where needed, and factors hindering progress were identified. The project facilitated negotiations between the Government and the EC Delegation to revise indicators. Lastly, it assessed the achievement of targets and proposed strategies for variable tranche disbursement, ensuring effective support for health and housing services.
