PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project supported the EU Delegation in creating the Annual Action Programme 2009, aimed at reducing rural poverty in Peru with a €34.4 million budget. It involved assessing targeted areas and regions for support, collaborating with regional authorities, and providing technical assistance to strengthen institutions.

ICON-INSTITUT developed an intervention strategy addressing poverty reduction and public policy coherence, with a focus on the Selva Central region. They also assisted in preparing a framework and action plan, while organizing stakeholder meetings to discuss key findings. This work shaped the EU's rural poverty reduction efforts in Peru.
