PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In Jordan, ICON has gained a longstanding experience in different sectors related to private sector development, labour market needs and education.

The Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) approaches in the MENA region do not correspond to the real needs of the labour market and business sectors. The business sectors are furthermore not sufficiently involved in the implementation and adaptation of vocational training to improve practical orientation and quality of training. ICON supports a working group consisting of 16 members from 9 MENA countries (Libya, Palestine, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, Tunisia, Morocco) in the mapping of good practices for business sector cooperation in TVET in different contexts.
