The Design of a Monitoring & Evaluation System to track the Progress of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA Implementation
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aimed to create a user-friendly Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system for the CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and Trade Policy Dialogue. It was designed to track trade-related areas like goods, services, regional integration, and standards, aligning with existing mechanisms such as the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) and OECS’ Revised Treaty of Basseterre.
ICON-INSTITUT developed the system intending to be cost-effective, sustainable, and tailored to the limited resources of CARIFORUM member states. After conducting research and stakeholder consultations, an interim proposal was to be reviewed, followed by a regional validation meeting, and finalized in a comprehensive report.
