PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main subject of this project is the continuous implementation of the Benchlearning initiative in its third cycle, supported by ICON-INSTITUT. Benchlearning is an innovative concept to define evidence-based learning by combining quantitative and qualitative benchmarking, mutual learning and support to implementation of good PES practices. In order to provide evidence for recommendations to the Public Employment Services, a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the PES performance and a comparative analysis was carried out.

The fourth year of the 3rd cycle of the PES BL project implementation confirmed that the European PES Network further evolved and progressed despite the various economic, political, and social challenges, proving that the support anticipated by the PES Decision via the Benchlearning initiative is crucial. The activities carried out allowed for the further enhancement of the PES’ digital transformation and expansion of e-services, strengthened PES’ capacity in risk and crisis management, promoted leadership approaches in PES HR management, etc. The key elements for this success were bound up in the sharing of information and experience of other PES and experts. The interactivity of the PES performance assessments, thematic learning dialogues (TLDs), working groups, and PES assessors’ workshops was important to allow participants to share good practices and lessons learnt.
