PROJECT WAS RUNNING IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES

Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Egypt, Kenya, Namibia, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As part of the German Ministry of Economics and Technology's Export Initiative Renewable Energy, ICON-INSTITUT was contracted to conduct studies on financing opportunities for renewable energy (RE) enterprises in nine countries through seven business trips. The German Government's “German Chamber of Commerce Business Travel Programme” aimed to support export-oriented RE companies by helping them gain knowledge of new markets and facilitating networking opportunities.

The objective was to assist German companies by advising on financing issues related to their planned commercial enterprises in selected foreign markets. Results included preparing a basic analysis of financing opportunities and international financing institutions, along with seven country-specific studies for Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Egypt, Kenya, Namibia, and Peru. Additionally, ICON provided financial consultancy services during business trips to these countries, presenting financing opportunities in conferences with company representatives and local professionals.
