As part of the German Ministry of Economics and Technology's Export Initiative Renewable Energy, ICON-INSTITUT was awarded four service contracts to conduct studies on financing opportunities for renewable energy (RE) enterprises in 13 countries, supported by ten business trips. The German Government's “German Chamber of Commerce Business Travel Programme” aimed to help export-oriented RE companies explore new markets and create networking opportunities.
The objective was to provide advice to German companies on financing issues related to their planned commercial ventures, such as projects, exports, or factory planning, in selected foreign markets. Key results included conducting a basic analysis of financing opportunities and international financing institutions, preparing country-specific studies for German RE/EE enterprises, presenting financing options during conferences, and providing individual advisory services with follow-up support after the business trips.
