PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As part of the German Ministry of Economics and Technology's Export Initiative Renewable Energy, ICON-INSTITUT was awarded four service contracts to conduct studies on financing opportunities for renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) enterprises in eight countries.

The German Government's “German Chamber of Commerce Business Travel Programme” aimed to support export-oriented RE companies by helping them explore new markets and facilitate networking opportunities.

The objective was to advise German companies on financing issues related to their planned commercial projects, exports, or factory planning in selected foreign markets. Key results included conducting basic analyses of financing opportunities and international financial institutions, developing country-specific studies for German RE/EE companies, presenting financing options during conference events, and providing individual advisory services with follow-up support after the business trips.
