PROJECT DESCRIPTION

ICON is implementing together with IP Niras the ‘From Education to Employment - E2E’ project promoting active labour market measures to enhance youth employability and facilitate the entry of young people into working life. The project is financed by the Swiss Development Cooperation and supports young women and men, of whom are 20% vulnerable through Career Guidance and Counselling and an Opportunity Fund for companies and training providers.

E2E runs in 5 locations in South and Southeast of Serbia (Novi Pazar, Knjaževac, Pirot, Kruševac, Kragujevac) and utilises the Integrated Employment Approach (IEA), which provides the general project framework by linking the three pillars:
1) Skills and Labour Force Development (Labour Supply);
2) Labour Market Interventions and
3) Private Sector Development.

The project will train E2E brokers who can match sector needs and labour supply. These brokers will develop public-private development partnerships (PPDP) at the local level with companies, authorities and training providers, in order to develop non-formal adult education training (NFAET).
