PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Eurostat pursues long-standing statistical cooperation with the ENP-East and Central Asia countries in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) and EU’s policy in Central Asia. As part of this cooperation Eurostat organises annual High-level seminars (HLS) on topics of interest for senior management of the national statistical institutes (NSIs) of ENP-East and Central Asia countries and supports participation of ENP East Countries in the Conference on Quality in Statistics.

The general objective of these events is to raise the overall statistical cooperation and information exchange between Eurostat and the partner countries’ NSIs on key issues and developments in the field of statistics. Continuous professional training and staff development is essential to tackle specific needs of the National Statistical Institutes of Eastern European, Caucasus and Central Asian countries.

ICON INSTITUT has been contracted by Eurostat to organise these meetings in the period of 2023- 2026 and is a responsible partner for successful implementation of the following tasks:

• organisation of three two-and-a-half-day physical meetings of the High-level seminar in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and

• support participation of the representatives of six ENP-East countries in 2024 Quality Conference.
